JSW enter into Technology Collaboration Agreement with L&T Special Steels and Heavy Forgings Pvt. Ltd.

The Japan Steel Works, Ltd. (JSW) has entered into a technology transfer agreement with L&T Special Steels and Heavy Forgings Pvt. Ltd.(LTSSHF). The five year agreement covers transfer of critical technology for steel melting & heavy forgings made from ingots up to 200 MT, for hydrocarbon, thermal power, steel & cement sectors.
As Indian economy continues to grow in the next decades, demands for forgings in core sectors are steadily expected. JSW, acknowledged world leader in the field of heavy steel forgings, aims to strengthen the marketing foothold in India, a rapidly expanding forging market.
LTSSHF founded in 2009 is a subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (L&T). It has the capability to supply heavy stainless steel & alloy steel forgings and has been seeking forefront forging manufacturing technology.
L&T Special Steels and Heavy Forgings Pvt. Ltd. (LTSSHF) is a subsidiary of Larsen & Toubro Ltd (L&T). Located at Hazira, LTSSHF is a part of L&T’s Hazira Manufacturing Complex near Surat. It is India’s largest fully integrated state-of-the-art facility capable of producing special steels and Heavy forgings weighing up to 120 MT, and compares favorably with few such facilities in the world.
