The TEX-αR series is new global standard twin screw extruder with a great value and provides high quality, reasonable price, shortest delivery and high return on investment.
The TEX-αR series follows the TEX brand, which has a long valuable history, tradition and has delivered more than 3,000 units all over the world. Therefore, TEX-αR Series have excellent stability, safety and high quality.
Since the basic dimensions of the screw and barrel, which greatly affect extrusion process, are the same as TEX series, the basic performance of the TEX-αR series is based on the extrusion know-how cultivated in the TEX series.
We have only achieved compatibility between customized machines (TEX series) and global standard machines (TEX-αR series).

- The L/D of the extruder can range from L/D=31.5 (9 blocks) to L/D=63 (18 blocks).
We will propose the optimal L/D extruder depending on the raw materials and grade. In addition, the barrel configuration can be customized upon customer’s request. - The screw rotation speed and main motor power can be selected from high, medium, or low speed specifications.
We will propose an extruder with optimal specifications based on the raw materials, grade and output volume of the products. - Cartridge heaters are used to adjust the extruder temperature control. The temperature can be raised up to 400 degrees.
The cartridge heater can be easily attached and detached, reducing maintenance time. In addition, since it is possible to share spare heaters, there is also the benefit of reduced maintenance costs. - Torque density of the Extruder is max. 13.2Nm/㎤ for TEX-αR series and 15.3Nm/㎤ for TEX-αRⅡ series.
Therefore, it is possible to obtain high-quality products with high output due to the High Torque Extruder.
Extrusion Process
Providing comprehensive process knowledges from extrusion experience that JSW has designed for various applications for many years to meet customers' requirements.
TEX-αR series can be widely used for various kinds of applications. JSW has standardized barrel and screw configurations for each application. JSW can provide customers appropriate extrusion system to achieve sufficient throughput and excellent kneading performances. JSW extrusion system gives customers decent solutions for compounding products by extruders.Barrel & Screw Material
Standard barrel, Feed barrel, Vent barrel, Side Feed barrel are arranged according to the raw material Barrel temperature is controlled by the control box with Cartridge Heaters and cooling water.
Barrel is Sleeve type and wear resistance materials of Special steels are used to enable long term service life.
The function of screws includes Feeding, Melting, Mixing, Dispersing, Congesting, Degassing and Pressurizing.
Screw elements are assembled individually in shaft which strong power is transmitted by involutes splines.
Wear resistant materials are selected for this series.Control System
HMI SYSTEM automatic control system are equipped with TEX-αR series to control the operation according to the inputs/outputs set up that entered by the user.
The control system which is based on PID controls the temperatures of the extruder components, screw speed, raw material feed rate and raw materials feed ratio at optimal conditions. - The L/D of the extruder can range from L/D=31.5 (9 blocks) to L/D=63 (18 blocks).
